Hi I'm Santhosh Marguerita

- Sri Lankan Contemporary Artist

I have always been interested in art. From childhood I was keen on evolving and developing my own style. I won art prizes while in school. I pay little attention to detail. My paintings are made up of bright colours and uninhibited brush strokes. Not much imagination is needed to decipher the subject.

My technique clearly defines my purpose. I feel colour is symbolic and we learn our colours from nature. I try to weave the colour palette of nature and the positivity of what life offers. Negativity is overshadowed by a world of colour in an aesthetic sense. My art signifies that the diversity of colour can influence the mood and the brush strokes amplify the aesthetic appeal. I had an exhibition of my paintings recently.

My Thoughts

I decided to write a book that was easy to read. I made it more meaningful by depicting my thoughts using illustrations. People have less time to delve into script as they are challenged by modern day pressure's! I identify one of man's weakest qualities to be sincerity. However we need to interact for the purpose of carrying on life. My Thinking is all about handling life without getting disturbed and projecting ourselves to the best of our abilities. Aphorisms have staying power. So, my intent is to make them useful to the reader in order to avoid social anxiety.
